Singing Lessons
Led by a professional musician and stage actor with years of experience in musicals, this 8-week class is designed for middle school kids to explore their voice, build confidence, and have fun while improving their singing skills. Each week, they'll learn essential vocal techniques like breathing exercises, pitch control, and singing with emotion and expression. We’ll work with popular songs and engaging activities, ensuring students grow as singers while enjoying every step of the journey.

Our Instructor
Jon Harrison Taylor, the youngest son of legendary R&B singer Johnnie Taylor, is an accomplished professional musician and guitarist with a rich career performing for major label artists under Epic, Sony, and Interscope records. His extensive experience spans TV appearances on shows like Ellen and Soul Train, as well as professional theater performances, including critically acclaimed roles. DC Theater Arts praised his portrayal of Wilson Pickett, stating, "Jon Harrison Taylor played the temperamental Wilson Pickett to perfection, and did ample justice to Pickett’s 'In the Midnight Hour'." The Washington Post also recognized him as "a notable presence in the cast as Wilson Pickett ('In the Midnight Hour') and Johnnie Taylor ('Who’s Making Love')." Jon now brings his passion for music to kids through group singing lessons, where young students can learn from his years of experience in the music and entertainment industry.
